“A really lovely room and very cosy bed - well worth the price. The shower was excellent too, in fact the entire building is very clean and lovely. The location is fine for exploring the area - a very good base for the hospital visit l had to make. The only downsides - and these were small really - l couldn't get access to the electricity socket for the kettle (the tiny unit it was on had been pushed right back against the fouble socket), which meant that l had to plug it in on the floor at a floor socket, having a damaged rib, l could not do this easily at all and l wasn't happy with the kettle being on the beautiful carpet. When l boiled the (very small) kettle it over flowed badly with boiling water, losing half the kettle. When my husband refilled it (to the max mark) it was even worse, sending water upwards out of the kettle suddenly, like a fountain. My husband got scalded in an attempt to turn it off and we had to use most of the towels to wipe up the water for both occasions. I also couldn't get hold of the owners at all, trying both mumber that they had left for contact. When we saw the owner on leaving we mentioned the kettle as we felt it could be a much worse issue should a child have been near or someone less able to deal with it, he simply seemed surprised and said it was probably the thermostat. This is the reason for not an excellent score. We were actually very grateful for the room, and it is a very nice place indeed. I would recommend it highly.”
